Uthai Uthaisangkhuk, CEO of Sansiri Public Company Limited, stated: “Revolutionizing access to clean energy in the real estate sector, especially at the household level, is a key goal that Sansiri aims to make a reality and sustainable. Changing energy consumption behavior in residences is a crucial driver for achieving national and global Net Zero goals. However, currently, access to clean energy in residences still faces limitations, as both equipment and installation costs remain high. Although these costs are beginning to decrease, they still pose a barrier to accessing funding sources. To unlock access to clean energy for households, Sansiri has recently partnered with Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., ICBC (Thai) Leasing Co., Ltd., and ION Energy Co., Ltd. to provide eco-friendly home loan services, allowing homeowners to install solar panels with low-interest loans at 0%* without collateral for the first time in Thailand through the “SOLAR to ZERO” campaign, making access to clean energy easier and more widespread. The target group includes all homes in Sansiri projects, especially those that have never had solar panels installed, and homes in all new Sansiri projects across all segments that wish to add solar panels to save on electricity costs. This collaboration aims to install 100% solar panels in 10,000 households within 5 years, expected to reduce carbon emissions by 42,000 tons annually.”

This collaboration in the SOLAR to ZERO campaign aligns with Sansiri's mission as the first Thai real estate company to set a goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, aiming to create a sustainable environmental impact. Currently, Sansiri has installed solar roofs in over 800 homes, equivalent to a reduction of over 1,145 tons of carbon emissions, installed EV chargers in 400 homes, equivalent to a reduction of over 537 tons of carbon, and eliminated 1.7 million kilograms of waste in residences, equivalent to a reduction of over 1,174 tons of carbon. Additionally, 73,661 trees have been planted, equivalent to a reduction of over 700 tons of carbon. This partnership will help ensure that every household can access clean energy equally. Currently, Sansiri has a portfolio of 249 horizontal projects, totaling over 79,000 units, providing equal opportunities for all homeowners, including those from Plus Property, to participate in the campaign. Sansiri believes that household-level changes will create a significant ripple effect, as residences are the starting point for shifting towards clean energy and spreading this concept to larger societal sectors, such as workplaces and educational institutions, up to the national level.

Logan Yu, Managing Director of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated: “A green future is a shared goal worldwide, and driving towards carbon neutrality has become a key to sustainable economies and the foundation of a new societal lifestyle. Technology plays a crucial role in achieving this vision. Huawei Digital Power is committed to integrating technology with electricity and clean energy, revolutionizing digital energy to drive a better and environmentally friendly future, aligning with Thailand's sustainable development master plan. Thailand is a leader in the ASEAN region, pushing towards carbon neutrality policies by 2050, which aligns with the installation of solar systems in households that will play a significant role. This intelligent solar system will efficiently convert sunlight into electricity, which will be stored in smart energy storage devices, allowing households to use green energy throughout the day. Currently, Huawei Digital Power has delivered efficient, reliable, stable, and safe products to over 1,000 customers and installed them for over 40,000 households in Thailand. As a representative of Huawei Digital Power Thailand, I am honored to collaborate with Sansiri, ICBC, and ION to launch the 'SOLAR to ZERO' campaign, which will offer solar energy loans 'without collateral', making it accessible to every household at an affordable price, saving costs and being environmentally friendly. Additionally, it promotes a sustainable economy and fosters environmental awareness and responsible energy use.”

Teerapong Hiranyapornpong, Assistant Managing Director and Acting Executive of Risk Management and Acting Executive of Business Development and Strategy at ICBC (Thai) Leasing Co., Ltd., stated: “We are pleased to be part of the goal to push the real estate sector, especially residential levels, to access clean energy. This collaboration is a significant unlocking of the energy transition challenges starting from households and will be a starting point for creating national-level changes. We expect excellent feedback from homeowners. The SOLAR to ZERO loan campaign supports loans under the company's terms with a maximum repayment period of 84 months, representing a financial service that has never existed before, allowing homeowners not to use their homes as collateral, thus providing the best opportunity for Sansiri homeowners in both sold-out and new projects who wish to add installations to save on electricity costs.”

Pirakarn Manakij, CEO of ION Energy Co., Ltd., a provider of comprehensive solar energy solutions for residential and small to medium-sized businesses, stated: “Currently, ION is a leader in solar installations for homes, having installed over 1,500 systems, equivalent to a reduction of over 3,000 tons of carbon emissions annually. Through the SOLAR to ZERO campaign, we anticipate being able to cover over 10,000 households within 5 years, expected to reduce carbon emissions by 42,000 tons annually. Additionally, ION has launched a special promotion with a 0% interest rate* for 4 months, exclusively for Sansiri homeowners. Interested participants can contact us for more information at 02-114-3488 or Line Official: @ionenergy. The installation of solar panels is part of the effort to reduce greenhouse gases that can be measured and evaluated. Installing a 5.5-kilowatt solar panel system can produce up to 7,016 kilowatts of electricity annually, potentially saving up to 29,000 baht on electricity bills per year and reducing carbon emissions by 4 tons annually, equivalent to planting 280 trees each year.”
